The Government of Nepal has announced an easing to the nationwide lockdown. Some establishments, such as malls and cinemas, are still closed. Many restaurants are open to take out orders. Movement by private vehicle is permitted according to the odd-even final digit on license plates matching the final digit of the Nepali calendar date. (June 15 on the Nepali calendar is Asar 1, and there is odd-even consistency between the Nepali and Gregorian calendars until July 15.)
Extension of Flight Suspension: The government has suspended regularly scheduled international and domestic flights until 2359 hours on July 5, 2020. Information on international flights will be available through the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal at http://caanepal.gov.np/.
Nepal Immigration Resumes Services: The Nepal Department of Immigration (DoI) in Kalikasthan resumed services from Monday, June 15, 2020. For all visa holders whose visas were valid through at least March 21, 2020, and who plan to depart Nepal by June 29, 2020, any necessary visa processing will be done through immigration at Tribhuvan International Airport upon departure.
