Today we head towards Pokhara, a touristic town situated west of Kathmandu. By drive it takes seven hours. In the afternoon, explore around the lake side.
Today we drive to Dampus, which is a popular hill town on the outskirt of Pokhara. From Dampus we take a short trek through forest and the trail is steeper until we arrive in Pothana. At Pothana we are rewarded with the view of Annapurna, Hiunchuli and Machhapuchhre range. Enjoying the majestic views facing us we head northwards through the gentle trail to arrive in Landruk.
From Landruk we continue northwards down to the Modi River, then cross over on suspension bridge and arrive in Jhinnu. After having lunch in Jhinnu we climb the steep trail all the way to Chhomrong, which takes around two hours. Chhomrong is beautiful village nestled at the lap of Mount Hunchuli and overlooks the Machhapuchre in its front.
From Chomrong we head eastwards. We walk through bamboo forest area passing by small settlement of Sinuwa, Bamboo and arrive in Dobhan, which is nestled at the bank of Modhi River.
From Dobhan we begin our step into higher altitude. So we take short trek to Himalaya.
We continue our trek eastwards. We pass by Deurali and arrive at our lodge in Machhapuchhre Base Camp. At Deurali if we look across on the cliff we can witness the self arisen imprint of the image of Buddha.
From Machhapuchre Base Camp we turn north into the valley going to the Annapurna Base Camp. We start our hike early morning arrive in the base camp in around three hours. Here we lay facing the majestic view of whole south face of Annapurna massif. After lunch we head back to our lodge in MBC.
From MBC we trek the same trail back to Bamboo.
We trek back on the steeper trail through the bamboo forest and arrive in Chomrong. After having lunch in Chomrong we trek westwards. After walking couple of hours on a gentle trail
passing by local village we arrive at Kimrong River. Crossing the river and climbing a zig-zag trail we arrive in Chuile.
From Chuile we climb up the dense forest area until we arrive in Tadapani. Afterwards the trail becomes gentle and we stop at Banthati for lunch. Then we continue our trek to Ghorpani.
Before the dawn breaks in we hike to the nearby Poonhill for the breathtaking sunrise view. As the sun sets – in the Annapurna range and the Dhaulagiri range are seen right infront of us. Afterwards we trek down-hill through a forest trail and then pass by local villages of Shikha, Chitre Ghara and cross the Kaligandaki river. Then take a short hike up to Tatopani.
Today we drive from Tatopani to Muktinath. As there is road access going through the old trekking trail we choose to drive until Muktinath.
As we arrive in Muktinath, we find ourselves in a totally different landscape. A place with very thin vegetation, dry weather and guarded by snowy mountains this area resembles very much of the Tibetan landscape. Muktinath is also a highly regarded pilgrimage site. So we take an
opportunity to explore the local village, culture and most importantly prepare for the up-coming high pass.
From Muktinath we walk the gently sloped trail up to Thorang Phedi.
Today is the hardest day of this trek. We start our trek before the dawn and climb the steeper trail up to the Thorang La Pass 5416, which takes around 4 hours. From the top of the pass the trail goes downhill. Passing by Thorang High Camp and Phedi we continue along the Marshyangdi river and arrive in Letdar.
From Letdar we walk along the Marshyangdi river and pass by Yak Kharka before arriving at Manang village. The Manang valley is also called ‘himal pari ko jilla’ in Nepali , which means a district beyond the mountains. Situated just northern sloped of the gigantic Annapurna range this valley is a contrast to its neighboring valley on the other side in terms of nature and culture.
From Manang viallge trek through the small local settlements of Braga and Humde and arrive in the Lower Pisang.
From Pisang we trek southwards along the river and arrive in the district headquarter Chame.
From Chame we continue our walk along the Marshyangdi and passing by Tarangmarang and Bagarchap we arrive at Dharapani, which is situated at a junction of Marshyangdi and Dudh Khola coming from Manaslu range river.

Depending on your flight timing we transfer you to the Tribuvan International Airport, Kathmandu approximately 2-3 hours before the flight.
