The Manaslu area trekking region was officially opened by the government of Nepal in the year 1991. This trek takes us gradually from the mid hills to the foot of Mount Manaslu, the sixth highest mountain on the Earth, and cross over the Larkya Pass to make one full circuit. The upper region of Manaslu requires a special trek permit and receives lesser trekkers compared to the Everest and Annnapurna.

Day: 1
Arrival in Kathmandu
One of our staff, usually your trek guide, awaits your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. After a warm welcome we will transfer you to hotel, followed by a welcome dinner and an informal briefing about the days ahead.
Day: 2
Sightseeing and Trek Preparation
Today we take you for a cultural excursion to the significant Buddhist and Hindu pilgrimage sites In Kathmandu. These sites also belong to UNESCO world heritage. Meantime, we finish the final preparation for the trek.
Day: 3
Drive to Sotikhola
From Kathmandu we start early morning and drive westwards on the highway towards Dhading Besi. Afterwards we turn northwards and drive on a Nepalese country side road. We pass by town of Arughat and continue along the Budi Gandaki River to arrive at Sotikhola.

Trek to Machakhola
Trek from Sotikhala to Machakhola is an interesting one. First we cross the Budi Gandaki river on an overhanging bridge then the trail goes through a forest and through paddy fields; afterwards on a trail across a rock cliff and with few more of walking up and down we arrive in Machakhola.

Trek to Jagat 6 hours
From Machakhola we trek a narrow trail that has several ascend and descends. Passing by the villages of Tatopani and Dhoban we make crossing of river and then climbin steeper trail past the Tharo Bharyang we finally arrive in Jagat.

Trek to Philim
As we trek from Jagat we pass by the villages of Salleri and Sirdibas. We walk upstream the Ghatta Khola river, and after crossing over by suspension bridge we arrive in Philim. Philim has a fairly large settlement of Gurung people.
Day: 7
Trek to Deng
Leaving Philim the trail goes northwards. Passing through the village of Ekle Bhatti and then through the gorge area we make crossing of the Budhi Gandaki and the Deng river before arriving in the Deng village.
Day: 8
Trek to Namrung
From Deng onwards we enter into the higher land of the Manaslu area. As we cross the Budi Gandaki and walk higher we encounter the alpine vegetation, typical highland people and the closer view of the mountains. We pass by the village of Pork enjoying the view of beautiful snowcapped Siringi mountain and walking through alpine forest we arrive in Namrung.
Day: 9
Trek to Samagaon
Namrung and the villages above it are inhabited by local Nubri people whose culture and lifestyle resembles that of Tibetan. As we trek northwards and higher we pass by the villages of Lihi, Sho, Lho and Shyala. Enjoying the views of Ganesh Himal, Himal Chuli, Ngadi Chuli and the Manaslu we trek steadily to arrive in Samagaon.

Hike to Pungyen Gompa
This upper valley of Manaslu is also called the beyul Nubri. It is a sacred hidden valley blessed by the great Buddhist master Guru Padmasambhava. Today we take you for a short hike into a tiny valley above Samagaon to visit one of these holy site – the Pungyen Gompa. As we arrive here the magnificient south face of Manaslu lies right before us.

Trek to Samdo
From Samagaon we head northward to the nearby village of Samdo. This is last local settlement in the Manaslu area.
Day: 12
Trek to Dharamsala (Larkya Phedi)
Today, we take a short trek to Dharamsala and stay overnight at a local stone hut there. The trail through the Larkya Pass until reaching Bimthang is quite long for normal trekkers so we prefer to stop by Dharamsala.
Day: 13
Cross Larkya Pass and descend to Bimthang
Today is the hardest and longest journey of Manaslu trek. We start our trek very early and head westwards on the glacier area. We pass by Dharamsala and continue to the Larkya Pass. As we reach the highest point of the Larkya pass the trail goes downhill until we reach Bimtang.
Day: 14
Trek to Tilje
As we get exhausted from previous long trek we take a short walk down to Tilje. Passing through lush green alpine forest and walking along the Dudh Khola we arrive in Tilje in around three hours, which gives us time to rest and recover.
Day: 15
Trek to Dharapani and drive to Besisahar
From Tilje we walk down along the river and arrive in Dharapani, a small settlement at a junction of trail going to Manang valley and Manalsu area. After lunch in Dharapni we drive to Besisahar.

Drive to Kathmandu
From Besisahar we drive to Kathmandu.

Free Day in Kathmandu
Today we leave you for complete relax at your hotel in Kathmandu.
Day: 18
Transfer to Airport for homebound departure
Depending on your flight timing we transfer you to the Tribuvan International Airport, Kathmandu approximately 2-3 hours before the flight.
