The Rolwaling valley is situated west of Everest Region. This valley is a special sacred hidden place and offers a unique opportunity to explore a different landscape, mountains and flora-founa. Rolwaling is also home to Sherpa climbers and a significant number of mountaineering manpower comes from this valley.

Day: 1
Arrival in Kathmandu Airport and transfer to hotel
One of our staff, usually your trek guide, awaits your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. After a warm welcome, upon your arrival, we will transfer you to hotel, followed by a welcome dinner in the evening and an informal briefing about the days ahead.
Day: 2
Sightseeing to Cultural Heritage sites of Kathmandu
Apart from being the capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu is originally a place rich in cultural heritage sites. On this day, we take you on a half-day tour to visit the holy and precious stupas of Boudhanath and the Swoyambunath. Swoyambunath Stupa is also popularly known as the Monkey Temple, due to the fact that its premises are also a home to monkeys. We also utilize some time checking up your gears and assist you do some last minute shopping – if necessary.
Day: 3
Drive to Chetchet and trek to Simigaon
From Kathmandu we start very early morning and drive all the way to Chetchet. Afterwards cross the Tamakoshi River and trek up hill and arrive in Simigaon.
Day: 4
Trek to Dong-gang, 6 hours
From Simigaon we trek eastwards into the Rolwaling valley. First we walk through the gentle trail that goes downhill to the bank of Rolwaling River and then climb steeper all the way to
Surmuche. From Surmuche we continue up hill walk until we arrive Kyalje. Then we take a short trek down hill to Donggang.
Day: 5
Trek to Beding
From Dongang we continue our walk along the Rolwaling river through the alpine forest with the view of mount Chekigo facing us. Then as we approach the crossing of Rolwaling River we have the majestic encounter of Gaurishankar in front of us. We pass by small winter settlements of local Sherpas and arrive at our lodge in Beding.
Day: 6
Explore around Beding
We stay in Beding for an acclimatization. While in Beding we will visit the historic Rolwaling Monastery and also hike above the village.
Day: 7
Trek to Na
From Beding the valley widens and the vegetation also differs. Waterfalls could be seen all along the trail. As we arrive in Na, we are amazed by the sight of the beautiful mountain peaks surrounding this wide-flat summer village. The name name ‘Na’ refers to holy place in local Sherpa language. Along the trail we can witness the holy sites and objects which all makes us feel deeply spiritual and at peace.
Day: 8
Hike to Omitso and Tsorolpa Lake
Today we hike to the two significant lakes of Rolwaling valley. First we hike to the Omitso, which is regarded very holy. This lake is shaped as the left conch shell and it is related to the local deity Tashitsheringma. Afterwards, on our return back to Na we visit the Tsorolpa Lake, which is the largest glacial lake formed by melting of the glaciers.
Day: 9
Rest day at Na
After previous days long hike we take a much deserved rest day at Na. In the afternoon take a short hike to Urgen Dukang, which is another very significant holy place. The Urgen Dukang is a place where revered Buddhist master Guru Padmasambhava had stayed for meditation. Even
nowadays, advanced practitioners come for meditation at this place.

Trek to Dong-gang
From Na we trek back on the same route. We stop in Beding for lunch and the continue down to Donggang.

Trek to Simigaon
Day: 12
Trek to Chetchet and drive to Kathmandu
We start early today. Walk down to Chetchet and drive all the way back to Kathmandu.
Day: 13
Half-day sightseeing
Today, we take you on a half-day sightseeing to one of the world heritage sites, either the Pashupatinath Temple or Patan Durbar Square or Bhaktapur Durbar Square. And you have the remaining time to do shopping or explore around Thamel.
Day: 14
Transfer to Airport for homebound departure
Depending on your flight timing we transfer you to the Tribuvan International Airport, Kathmandu approximately 2-3 hours before the flight.
